Where are you located?

We are conveniently located at 38 N. Cass Ave in beautiful downtown Westmont! It's on the first block north of the railroad tracks on the West Side of the street. We are in Suite B which is upstairs, above the State Farm office. We have a separate entrance with our logo on the door.

Can I book an appointment?

Yes! If you'd like to arrange a specific meeting time whether it be for shopping for a guitar, renting a band instrument, picking up a repair, or any other request we can make an appointment during or outside our regular business hours! Simply text us at 630-434-2480.

What are your hours of operation?

Our regular open hours are typically 12-6 Mon - Thurs, 12-5 Fri, and 10-2 on Saturday. We are commonly around outside of these hours and are always willing to make appointments to accommodate your needs. Please contact us anytime by texting 630-439-8986.

Where can I park?

Street parking is available on Cass Ave or the nearby side street Irving. There is also a large public parking lot West of the alley behind Cass.

Can you help me if I have trouble with stairs?

Yes, absolutely. We want to make it as easy as possible. We will bring merchandise down for you and we have floor level meeting places in the State Farm Lobby and our neighbor at Postnet. We are also happy to carry your gear up the stairs. Just call or text either ahead of time or when you arrive. Our number is 630-434-2480.

Music Lessons

Do you offer private lessons?

Yes we sure do! We offer private lessons on a multitude of instruments including guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, accordion, saxophone, clarinet, flute, and more!

Lessons are typically held once a week at the same time and sessions are 30 minutes long. You can find more details and sign up on our lessons page.

Do you offer group lessons or classes?

We periodically offer classes and workshops and hope to do more! If this is something you are interested in please contact us and let us know!

What instrument lessons do you offer?

We teach lessons in guitar, ukulele, bass, piano, accordion, saxophone, flute, clarinet, trumpet, trombone, theory, arranging/composing, and more! Let us know what you want to learn!

How often do lessons occur?

Your lesson slot is reserved for you at the same time and day each week!

How long is each lesson?

The standard length is 30 minutes. Hour long lessons are also available if you desire and scheduling permits.

Can I take lessons a a complete beginner?

We love working with beginners of all ages and experience levels. No matter your goals, we’ll help you feel confident, make progress, and enjoy the process.

When can I start lessons?

Anytime! Lessons are available year-round, and you can start after the beginning of the month.

Are there any performance opportunities for students?

Yes. We have several student showcase performance opportunities throughout the year!

Do I need to bring my own instrument to the lessons?

For smaller instruments like guitar and ukulele, yes—you’ll need to bring your own. We provide a piano for piano students, and amplifiers are provided for electric guitar and bass students. All students should also bring their written materials.

What if I don't have an instrument?

If you don’t have an instrument yet, you’ll still need something to practice on at home between lessons. Uncle Jon’s Music sells suitable instruments, and we can help you pick one that will work right for you.

Rentals

Do you offer school band and orchestra rentals?

Yes we do! Rentals are provided through our affiliate Veritas Instrument Rental and rentfromhome. This convenient program offers low monthly payments with a rent-to-own monthly contract. Fill out the rental form on the website and you can pick your instrument up at our store or we can deliver it! The contract also includes and repairs and maintenance and options to exchange for a different instrument. Learn more at our rentals page.
